THE CHALLENGE

The profound intricacies of human language and intelligence continue to elude its comprehensive replication on machines.

The two main approaches to emulate human intelligence on machines so far are - Symbolic AI and ML-based AI.

Symbolic AI

Rule-based, formal logic-driven, knowledge representation.

Symbolic AI systems relied on formal logic and rule-based representations, which lead to rigidity and struggled with the complexity and ambiguity of natural languages.

ML-based AI

Deep-learning based, data-driven, statistical models.

Ml-based models learn patterns from data without explicit knowledge representation, resulting in challenges with generalization and reasoning about abstract concepts.

OUR INSPIRATION: THE NATURAL QUESTION

What is it about the natural languages, that is able to express reality (better than ML-based approaches) and reason about it (better than symbolic approach)?

AcquiredLang is the culmination of seven years of deep-tech research inspired by the above question.
